Biography

Byeong Soo Kim is currently an Assistant Professor of Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence at Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech). He received his B.S, M.S. and Ph.D. Degrees from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 2010, 2012 and 2018, respectively. Before joining the faculty at SeoulTech in 2022, he worked as a Staff Engineer at Samsung Electronics from 2018 to 2020, then as an Assistant Professor in the School of Software Convergence at Myongji University from 2020 to 2022. His research focuses on digital twin, data-driven modeling, modeling & simulation of discrete event systems, convergence of artificial intelligence & simulation, and smart manufacturing. He is also interested in convergence research of various ICTs in the era of the fourth industrial revolution.
